Woodland Star International School was delighted to welcome three faculty members from Kenyatta University’s Department of Early Childhood and Special Needs Education for a recent benchmarking visit. Their testimonial supports our ongoing mission to provide an inclusive, nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
In their words, Woodland Star “stands out as a beacon of Inclusive Education.” They highlighted how our peaceful setting and thoughtfully resourced classrooms create a learning environment intentionally designed to inspire curiosity, foster a deep connection to nature, and provide a calm, nurturing space for students of all abilities. Describing their visit as “inspiring and transformative,” the faculty shared that our inclusive education model is already shaping how they prepare their education students for global learning support roles in inclusive schools. This growing partnership reflects more than just an exchange of ideas; it represents a shared commitment to reimagining education with inclusion, compassion, and creativity at its heart.
As Dr Joyce Achieng Ogogo, Teaching Practicum in Special Needs Education Coordinator, expressed:
“We are proud to collaborate with Woodland Star and excited for what the future holds.”
We share that sense of excitement. Together, we are planting the seeds for a more inclusive future in education, one where every child, regardless of background or learning style, feels seen, supported and can flourish.
