My apologies for the delay in sending this letter, I can’t believe it’s already half term. It has been a difficult one to draft in that it signifies moving on and the closing of a chapter in mine and Lochlan’s lives. I really find it difficult to believe that Lockie has grown up so much and is moving away from the school. I don’t know where to start in trying to thank you for all your support and goodwill over the years.
Words somehow don’t seem enough and keep eluding me. However, please know that I really appreciate and am truly grateful to Woodland Star School for the financial and emotional support and the love and care you have shown us in the time Lochlan has been with you.
My son has grown from a sweet baby boy into a mature young man and you have forged his spirit and helped him shine in so many ways.
I had asked Lochlan to write his own thank you letter to you and have included it here. I was amazed at how articulate and full of feeling it was. He has said it all and there is nothing left for me to say except ASANTE SANA for everything.
In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.”
In gratitude,
Tara Manji (Alumnus Parent)
